FEATURED CHOREOGRAPHER:
Victoria Faust, 20
Victoria began her dance training in Madison, GA at the age of 10, and quickly developed a passion for the disciplinary art of ballet. At 13 she began training more intensely at Freedom of Movement in Athens, GA and honed her skills not only in ballet, but in pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, and musical theater. At 14, she joined Freedom of Movement’s competition and performance company at the senior level and spent the next 4 years performing with lead roles in Freedom of Movement’s full-length performances such as The Nutcracker, My Christmas Angel, and Spirits of Spring, and competing at the regional and national level in major dance competitions and conventions such as Showbiz, Nexstar, and Jump receiving 1st place awards and special recognition for technique and performance quality. At 15 she began spending her summers in New York City training at the world renowned Ailey School and other schools such as Steps on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center. At 17 she received a scholarship from The Classic Center, Athens GA to continue her dance training in New York. And at 18 she was accepted to The Ailey School’s certificate program where she completed 2 years training full-time (25-30 hrs per week) under the guidance of the field’s most gifted teachers. She has taught modern and ballet intermittently since 2006, and was head choreographer (2007, 2008) at the Queen’s College Summer Program theater department. She currently teaches ballet and jazz at Pointe of Grace, Madison, GA.
